Senoko Energy Plans Explained: LifePower vs LifeSteady

Senoko Energy runs two separate plan families that use entirely different pricing structures: LifePower is fixed rate, LifeSteady is priced as a discount off the SP tariff. Which one comes out cheaper depends on where the SP tariff sits right now — here's what the current numbers say.
LifePower — fixed rate
LifePower locks in one rate for your whole contract, in three lengths: 12, 24, or 36 months, with longer terms priced lower. LifeSteady — discount off tariff
LifeSteady is priced as a flat cents-per-kWh discount off the prevailing SP tariff (1.64¢/kWh off, for both the 24- and 36-month terms), rather than a percentage. That means its effective rate moves automatically whenever SP Group updates the tariff each quarter — see our SP tariff guide for how that works.
Which is cheaper right now?
At the current SP tariff, LifeSteady's effective rate works out to about 33.14¢/kWh (tariff minus the 1.64¢ discount) — higher than every LifePower fixed plan. That's a direct consequence of this quarter's sharp SP tariff increase: LifeSteady's discount is fixed in cents, so when the tariff itself jumps, the gap it saves you doesn't keep pace. If the tariff falls in a future quarter, that comparison could flip.
